• Sustainability

Sustainability in the construction industry is more important now than ever before.

At Eclipse Group, we embrace sustainability in construction so that it becomes part of our business as usual. From the outset of any project, it is vital to us that we work in the most considerate way, from the planning stage through to delivery. We concentrate on three key areas: carbon impact, zero waste and the protection of habitats and natural resources. All of these actions not only help to reduce the carbon footprint of your project but also save money for you and your project.

Carbon Impact

Reducing the energy consumption of our vehicles and plant helps us achieve our goal of reducing our overall carbon impact.

We a have recently purchased two new excavators that run on HVO (hydrotreated, or hydrogenated, vegetable oil).

We have the newest fleets of vehicles and plant which ensures all emissions are as low as possible.

We continuously reinvest into the business to keep up to date with the latest machinery.

Our HVO machines

100% fossil fuel free

90% reduction of carbon footprint

100% run on fuel from renewable feedstock

Zero Waste

We are committed to reduce the volume of construction waste and reuse and recycle as many materials as possible on all our sites. To achieve this, we do the following:

  • Promote the reuse of furniture, fixtures and fitting before demolition
  • Stock pile top soil on site for later reuse
  • Crush hardcore from the existing structures which have been demolished
  • Reuse excavated material from site. We can assist with potential applications and volume calculations
  • Segregate waste streams such as metal, wood and green waste, for easy recycling.

Protection of habitats and natural resources

At Eclipse, we set out to deliver your project to the very highest standards whilst protecting the environment. Habitat conservation is paramount to ensuring there is no loss of biodiversity and we will coordinate and support bat surveys and Ecological Assessments as well as implement any mitigation strategies. This is just one of the ways we support sustainability in construction.
