Challenge

The land was previously owned by a developer who went into insolvency. The site was left in a state of despair with incomplete construction work. The soil was a clay soil with a high volume change potential and the developer had spread clay soil in the back garden. With no mains drainage and non-permeable ground soakaways could not perform.

The Eclipse Solution

We demolished all existing structures on site, recycled and reused materials where possible. The materials arising from the demolition were crushed and used for the new driveway as well as to infill the demolished pool.

Due to the soil conditions we deployed a deep borehole soakaway with an attenuation tank and a treatment plant with drainage mount. All foundations were piled to prevent any potential movement. When faced with a site with such poor soil conditions Eclipse ensures all suitable measures are in place to rectify this.
